Practicality Aside…
Aren’t these Kerrington Ballet Flats from J. Crew heavenly? In my fantasies, I am wearing these with a white sundress, a sherbet-hued cardigan and a perfect pair of pearl earrings. I am running errands and taking the kids to playdates in the park, never stepping in a mud puddle or having little ones drop their snacks on my perfect silk and cotton-clad toes. A girl can dream, right?
(And LPC, if you’re reading this, you should know that yes, I even want to wear prints on my shoes. Does this make me the Artsy Cousin?)

oh, those flats are just too lovely! i cannot remember the last time i stepped foot into a JCrew. my husband just so lovingly reminded me of this sad fact the other day. i told him that i refuse to get pregnant with number 2 until JCrew comes out with a maternity line! :)
ReplyDeleteI love the print!!
ReplyDeleteThat is cute! JCrew comes up with some beautiful prints.
ReplyDeleteAdorable! You're dream outfit seems absolutely lovely and practicality is so overrated!
ReplyDeleteHello! Yes, I sense some definite Artsy leanings. It's a great tradition.:). The true Artsy Cousin will look for patterns from other countries, but a few local patterns are always good. I'd say the pearls and cardigan are a dead tipoff for Grande Dame - at least in training.
ReplyDeleteThese flats are so cute! I always stare at shoes like these but can never bring myself to buy them, because I don't know where I would wear them.
ReplyDeleteAshley, I've been wondering lately why my closet seems to be such a sad state of affairs, and I finally realized the reason. With my three children under three, I've been either trying to get pregnant, in the midst of being pregnant, or trying to lose baby weight for almost 4 years! And my closet shows it!
ReplyDeleteLPC, I appreciate the clarification. You've promised to post a page detailing the style archetypes and I'm looking forward to it.
Those shoes ARE pretty amazing! You definitely wouldn't have to worry about getting dirt on them. It'd blend right now.
ReplyDeleteP.S. I've got an award for you tomorrow. :)
I adore this print, perfect for summer! I love LPC's comment.
